Our Health, Safety and Environment policies, are fully compliant with AS-4801, the Qld Workplace Health and Safety Act & Regulations, the Qld Coal Mining Health & Safety Act and Regulation and the Environment Management System Standard ISO-14001. The Walz Group of companies has implemented an accredited Group Management Plan based on AS/ANZ 9001:2000 and is compliant with all relevant Australian Standards and Industry Codes of Conduct.
The Electrical Division has the capability to quickly mobilise a fully equipped, experienced team to remote locations to perform any manner of heavy industry electrical installations, shutdowns, upgrades or maintenance programs. These electrical and instrumentation capabilities extend from the remote coal and gas fields, power stations, refineries and smelters through to the shipping facilities on the coast. This capability includes the project management and construction of all electrical infrastructures from electrical switchyards, substations, and transformers through to processing plants, product handling equipment and state of the art field devices.
Equipment & Facilities
Walz Electrical has a vast inventory of plant and equipment which allows for the safe, timely and cost effective completion of large scale projects without the need for outsourcing.
Our large fully equipped workshop facilities in Gladstone provide a comprehensive base for fabrication and logistical support which allows for rapid response to client requirements.
It features a purpose built 60 x 25 metre workshop equipped with:
- 2 x 5 tonne overhead cranes
- Fabrication equipment
- Under cover equipment storage areas
- Fully Equipment tooling, PPE and consumables store
Walz Electrical has the capability to supply and mobilise certified and experienced teams to remote locations, complete with fully equipped workshop and electrical equipment containers allowing us to perform efficient installation and repair work using state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Walz Electrical also has full access to an extensive list of heavy equipment and machinery at Walz Construction to fast track most logistical solutions.
